Critical points to ensure the repair to avoid problems

Support points for disassembly tool on the DDC package 
Before extract the DDC package from the gearbox to be replace we need to ensure at the time to fit the disassembly tool that the legs of the tool (3) are correctly supported and embedded in the holes of the old DDC package and the axle of the remover tool is correctly positioned on the primary shaft 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Breakage/ damage of primary shat or splines</li>
	<li>Drop and breakage of DDC Package</li>
	<li>Safety issues due a DDC drop</li>
</ul>

Quantity of grease to add in the repair 
A key and critical point during the replacement of the DDC pack is the quantity of grease to add and the point where to add it. 
Remember the grease is included by Valeo in all clutches range, including DDC packs, this small bag of grease is enough for the process. 
Remember add it with a small brush on the:

<ul>
	<li>Fork contact points with bearing (both forks)</li>
	<li>Support point in the bearings&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Primary shaft spline lines</li>
</ul>

No more grease is needed than that included by Valeo

Risks: 
If you add more quantity of grease

<ul>
	<li>Gear Shift problems</li>
</ul>

Incorrect support between fork and bearing, bad displacement of bearing in gear shift, incorrect preload on the pressure plate 
Incorrect displacement of the disc on the primary splines due an excess of grease&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Engine torque loss</li>
</ul>

Disc slide off due a grease centrifuged and located in friction disc faces or pressure plate

<ul>
	<li>Vibrations</li>
</ul>

Vibrations produced by an excess of grease located in friction disc faces or pressure plate

Support points for assembly tool on the DDC package 
Before fit the new &nbsp;the DDC package in the gearbox &nbsp;we need to ensure at the time to fit the assembly tool that the legs of the tool (3) are correctly supported and embedded in the holes of the new &nbsp;DDC package and the axle of the assembly &nbsp;tool is correctly positioned on the primary shaft 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Breakage/ damage of primary shat or splines</li>
	<li>Drop and breakage of DDC Package</li>
	<li>Safety issues due a DDC drop</li>
	<li>Disaligment of the clutch</li>
</ul>

Placement of bearing push tool 
Once placed the tool in central bearing (central point of the DDC pack) we need to ensure a right position, parallel and alignment with the bearing to ensure an uniform push to the package to the final position allocated in gearbox housing 
Once the DDC package be placed in the final position, the package start to have a free movement. 
Risks: 
If we don´t place correctly the tool we will have &nbsp;gear shift issues &nbsp;due to

<ul>
	<li>Breakage of the bearing</li>
	<li>Bearing lock</li>
	<li>Disaligment of the package</li>
</ul>

Don´t forget place &nbsp;the snap rings 
Don´t forget fit in the DDC pack the snap rings 
Inner snap ring for internal bearing and &nbsp;for disc &amp; plate number 1 (even gears) and outer for disc &amp; plate number 2 (odd gears) 
Use to placed it pliers specific for this type of snap rings, do not force it with a screwdriver. 
Ensure each snap ring keep placed in their place correctly 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Snap ring breakdown because it was forced, rest of the snap ring inside DDC pack with full breakage of the system</li>
	<li>Snap ring (inner or outer) did not place in correct position</li>
	<li>Snap ring (inner or outer) did not place</li>
</ul>

Use blocking tool for flywheel 
Use the blocking tool for flywheel in disassembly and assembly of it 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Breakage of bolts during disassembly the old one</li>
	<li>If the flywheel has free play you will not apply the correct torque in the assembly of the new flywheel</li>
	<li>Breakage the teeth during tightening</li>
</ul>

Crankshaft seal 
Before place the gearbox with new DDC inspect and replaced the crankshaft seal if exists oil leak 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>System overheating</li>
	<li>Surfaces of discs slide off</li>
	<li>General failures due a torque loss</li>
</ul>

Order and tightening torque for the bolts 
Respect the order and the tightening torque for &nbsp;the screws. Information &nbsp;provided by Valeo&nbsp; 
Remember the order will be in “star sequence” and the torque will be specific by each part 
Risks:&nbsp;

<ul>
	<li>Gear Shift issues 
	Disaligment between flywheel friction surface and DDC friction surface</li>
	<li>Engine torque loss 
	Disaligment between flywheel friction surface and DDC friction surface, only one point of friction. Impossible to transmit all effective torque</li>
	<li>Vibrations 
	Vibrations produced by disaligment of the system. Knock between flywheel and DDC</li>
	<li>Engine electronic failures 
	Flywheel slack will produce electronic signal loss (sensor)</li>
</ul>
