<h3>Oil leak between engine and gearbox</h3>

 
Valeo Technical Support and the Warranty Claims Department are receiving a number of flywheels on the aforementioned vehicle that when inspected, have been contaminated with oil.

 
Valeo Service advise checking the flywheel bolt holes on the rear of the crankshaft to ensure they are correctly threaded. Poorly threaded holes or threaded holes containing dirt and debris, will not create an adequate seal and will cause oil to leak through on to the flywheel. Valeo Service advise cleaning the bolt holes using brake cleaner and then applying a thread-locking compound (specified Vauxhall OE number 90297970).

 
Units returned that are contaminated with oil will not be accepted under warranty.
