Top Column Module (TCM) is located right behind the steering wheel in order to manage main safety functions and Driving assistance:
- Turn signal
- Head / Fog lights
- Front / Rear wiper
- Horn
- Airbag (mandatory since 1998)
- ABS (mandatory since 2004)
- ESC (mandatory since 2012)
- Integrated mechanical or electrical steering column lock
- Immobilizer system and keyless receiver
In addition to these main functions, Top Column Module is able to manage a big panel of other secondary functions Steering wheel switches:
- Radio switches

- Vibrating motor for lane-change warnings
