What is retrofitting?
Electric retrofitting consists of replacing a vehicle's internal combustion engine and fuel tank with an electric motor and a battery. It is an alternative to purchasing a brand-new electric vehicle.
While retrofitting applies to all types of vehicles, it is particularly well-suited for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs): savings of around -50% and a -37% reduction in carbon footprint compared to purchasing a new electric vehicle(1).
