Fitting a clutch with a damaged drive strap will only result in the workshop having to carry out the work a second time. A simple visual inspection of the clutch cover assembly will highlight any damage to the drive straps, and ensure the drive straps conform to manufacturing specification.

During the installation of 826376 on the Land Rover Freelander TD4, particular attention should be made to the oil seal situated behind the CSC mounting guide tube. The CSC mounting points are the same for the guide tube. Valeo has found the seal may become damaged during removal of the CSC.

926491 and 826497 have been designed by Valeo as a replacement to the original SAT clutch. Despite being visually different from the original clutch (ie. not including the self adjusting device included in the original cover), Valeo guarantees that this clutch kit will fit perfectly on the vehicle and will give full satisfaction in terms of quality, reliability and durability.
