CORE BANDS
_______________________________________________________________

The collection of old cores is paramount tomaintaining good availability to the exchange starters and alternators programme.

Against this backdrop, Valeo will be changing the core bands, Europe-wide, of 38 references on the 22nd January 2010. There will be no new bands, simply a change from one existing band to another. The effect of this is that 1 reference will decrease and 37 will increase, giving a total increase in core value of 0.40%.

Below is a list of all the references that will change, showing the existing and new surcharge from 22nd January 2010. The result of these changes will be minimal to all customers and reflect the changing needs of the core marketplace.

Any of these units returned or collected by Valeo after the 22nd January will be credited back at the new value.

CORE ACCEPTANCE RULES
______________________________________________________________

As Cores are our raw material, it is vital for all cores we use to be in line with our production standards.

We can collect more than 13,000 technical references as long as they match the core acceptance rules.

This will ensure that we continue to offer you excellent products and keep availability to the highest level possible.

(1) After technical check by our core collectors.
(2) When a unit has been disassembled and reassembled using a mixture of different non original parts or different manufacturers' parts

BACK IN THE BOX
_________________________________________________________________

In order to speed the Core identification process up and have the core back in the best condition, just adopt the Back in the Box response!

Back in the Box is a very efficient way to return your cores, to protect them and to actively contribute to the core identification. When you fit a new Unit on a vehicle, simply put the old Starter or Alternator back in the box in which you received the replacement unit.

Back in the Box
