Valeo has re-emphasised the need for quality when it comes to selecting replacement brake pads and discs, recommending OE quality parts which provide guaranteed levels of safety, reliability and efficiency. The leading automotive component supplier for the independent aftermarket offers an extensive braking range, delivering tested, technologically advanced solutions to a high level of the UK car parc.
With 771 part numbers in total, Valeo's brake pads use noise reducing metal and fibres to create a more comfortable driving experience. Their parts utilise OE quality friction materials which meet the requirements of even the most demanding car manufacturers, while their product composition completely avoids the use of heavy metal and asbestos.
Valeo extensively tests all brake pads, ensuring these comply with ECE R-90 regulations. The Product Manager at Valeo explained: 'By meeting the European quality standard, we can guarantee our replacement brake pads conform to the highest standards with regards to performance, production and packaging'.
'While our competitors might supply a number of different ranges that vary in quality, we only offer one premium range of brake pads. We feel this is more convenient for distributors too, resulting in less stock for them to hold and lower number of 'slow movers' as well. All accessory parts can be found within this single box, ensuring ease and convenience for the installer'.
'For vehicles aged one to nine years old, each brake pad in our unique offering includes premium friction mix and pre-bedding. 70% of our brake plates utilise NRS (Noise Reduction System) technology, which means no delamination, friction cracking or noise. Our offering also extends to vehicles aged ten years and abovewhich feature latex anti-noise treatment'.
Valeo also supply a large range of brake discs. With a high production quality through OE technology, their iron quality includes GG20, GG15, GG150 and GG15 high carbon.
