Take Advantage of a growing market in Engine Cooling! Valeo Releases it new range of EGR Valves.

Currently 90% of new HDI cars are equipped with EGR valves. In 2010 it will be 100%. Valeo supply 14 part numbers covering 60% (of which 100% of HDI applications) of vehicles equipped with EGR systems when OE manufactured.

The EGR system emerged due to the increase of diesel applications and a new European regulation to reduce toxic emissions.

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation has been designed to reduce the amount of NOx exhausted. In fact by adding exhaust gas (which is essentially inert) to inlet air, the combustion temperature and pressure can be controlled and lowered to minimise the generation of NO and NO2. The EGR Valve is the component of the EGR system which regulates the rate of recirculated exhaust gas (approx 40%).
